What happened during the opium wars? It was a war. With china and the British. Because Chine wouldnt stop trading or selling Opium to the bristish.
Why are they called the opium wars? Because the British were upset at the Chinese for adicting there soldiers, and the Chinese refused to stop.
Who won and why? The British won, because they came unexpected. So China had no time to get ready, and the Bristish had the better technology.Which was just a quicker and easier way of winning.

Film Lesson :"Mountains of the Moon"
In the film both Richard Burtan and John Speke travel to East Africa and go on search for the source of the Nile River. But during there time in Africa they went threw things that were unexpected. They walked for months. After walkin they were bound to shipsz for weeks. With people catchin malaria and other deadly diseases. They were dieing constantly. It is strange that the Lake in Africa is named after a Bristish Queen because well there in Africa. There was alot of ungraded technology between the Africans and the Eueropeans. Some of which was weapons. With the Africans using spears and the Europeans using guns. The Europeans had the better advantage. The Africans were as high up on technology for years. That was abel to help conquer alot easier.

Karl Marx and Communism

Karl Marx idea of communism was that the workers would have more power than anyone else.He wanted everyone to make the same amount of money and workers to have more say in the buisness elements.Communism is a way to keep everyone "equal" to let everyone feel as if one doesnt have more than the other. If everyone is working for the same amount of money than no one has more than the other at the end of the week.It was a way to show balance and structure. He saw the good guys as the worker. The people who would work for little money and stay for hours a day.Dispite the working conditions weather safe or not.The bad guys would have been the land owners. The bosses, the people who were causing all of the men to over work, and still not have everything needed. The guys who worked children and took away their oportunity for an education.

Karl Max and the Industrial Revolution

Karl Max was not very fond of the Industrial Revolution. He felt that the workers and the farmers should have more say in the things that they have done. The factories should be run by the people whp work in them. And the farmers should no what to do about their own farm. With the way things were going during the Industrial Revoltuion he figured that the workers should have more authority them they had at the moment. So he came up with the idea of the workers should control both the factories and the farms. This idea was call communism. With the idea that all man shares their wages to be broken up equaly. It was an easier for everyone to have the same and nothing else.
Simon Bolivar and the Latin America Revolution
Simon Bolivar was a liberator who organized and led military forces. His army never grew over ten thousand people. He used his army to free the northern section of South America from Spain and there government rules. As an end result he was able to get the Independence of Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Ecuador, and Bolivia. He was able to get his far in the battle by surprise attacks and smart strategizing. After naming the contries that he had liberated from the control of Spain he decided to make it all one big area called Grand Colombia. When that didnt work eventually each separte area that are now countries went against Bolivar and fought there own revolutions against him.Later on the now country Bolivia was named after him.In his time of fighting he was albe to get alot done and help ablot of people. He seen was it was that Napoleon did when he was in power and he felt as if he had gone against his work.To himself he promised to help get the people out of the ruling of Spain and he eventually succeeded.

Nationalism and the Creation of Italy
The definition to Nationalism is, the belief that one's greatest loyalty should not be to a king or an empire but to a nation who shares a common culture and history.A way that I am nationalistic is by speaking the language. Another way to prove my nationalism is every year on the 4th of July I celebrate my countries freedom from England.Other ways to prove that I am nationalistic is because I have my countries documents.I travel with my American passport, and have a birth certificate that states that I am a citizen here.Even going to the store and buying something can be looked as beeing nationalistic. When paying with my countries money I am helping spread the natural flow that keeps our country stable, which helps explain root of the reason of nationalism.

The Reign of Terror
The reign of terror was a very difficult time for the people in France. It was time were death was upon anyone and everyone.Lots of people were beeing sent to the Gullitones almost daily. The person responsible for all these deaths was Maximilien Robspierre. He is the man who killled King Louis the 16th.For when he was able to kill the king he became dictator of France. The reign of terror happend becuase there was many disputes on what type of gov. should France have. They no longer wanted to be ruled by only a king. And the king didnt like the fact that he no longer had complete control over his countries fait.He now had to answer to people. The killings were fairly simple.A quick one two cop, and off with your head.Although im pretty sure the last thing that ran threw someones mind who was beeing sent to the execution stand infront of the town was embarresment. It was a very quick process.Probably not even enough time for a final thought as the blade comes plunging to complete it task of taking ones life.

The French Revolution
1.Many of the Third Estaste were very angree and sceptical of the frence rules. They felt storngest about the nobales, king, and clergy. Most reason were because the third estate were the less wealthy and had the highest amount of taxes to pay. Also including that farmers would have to give in what ever wes asked of them straight from there farms.
2.The most complaints or grumbles in the time if 1789 would have had to been paying taxes. It was only about the taxes but the way they would have had to be paid.In an unfair manner. The 2% of the other estate paid barely nothing to none at all.Leaving the other 98%to pay everything and more.
3.The cartoonist is tryin to show that the third class world or the pesants were handling all of the taxes.Basically like carrying the other two estates on the back.Tking them were they needed to go and them staying behind to go back to they poor property when finished. The caption "ones hopes will soon end,"ment to me that the hopes of the less fortunate people of not having to pay so much and have so little will soon be become a reality. The time was coming for a revolution and soon enough everything will change for everyone. They will only have there own personal burrden to carry.
4.The writer explains the pesants life as hard.He writes about hoe the animals are very low, malnuished, and not enough to have to give away.He expressed the hardship of the pesants.Tries to express there pain there pain and concern on paying very expensive taxes.
5.In sources A, B, C it explains what the poor had to do to be able to pay taxes. Which is the reason that they resented the rich and the upper classmen so much. In source A, it shows the higher estates stepping on a man of a lower estate. To show power over him. In source B, a women talks to someone about how her and her husband have to pay taxes that they dont have. They had to pay with money and with animals. It was hard for them to do either for the reason that they dont have much of anything.
6.This passage would have most likely influnence the peasants. The source speaks of only issues that only effected the peasants. The other estate did not have to follow as many laws as the peasants.
7.The Kings and the people with the most power would have been the ones to bane this document. It wouls have been a way vto help the peasants see that they might be able to make a difference. It would have started a big contraversy.

John Locke and "The Enlightenment"
In the constitution Thomas Jefferson spoke of alot of rights that were going to be given to the people of this newly established government in this newly established country. Also known as America. The constitution was very strongly influenced by the words of John Locke.
Some of the rights mentioned in the Constitution were that every man is equal. There was no longer one man that was better that the other or that could be looked as like better than the next. There was no longer a king in charge but a government that made decision as a whole. As a whole they would appoint one person to represent to country. And if that person abused his rights as representative he could be taken out of office.
The government get its power from us the people. The same way that we have elected the person in power, we have the privileged to vote them out under the right circumstances.Such as abusing ones authority. And also trying to over step ones boundaries.

Scientific Revoltion:The Scientific Method
The Scientific Method is a way to prove a theory. There is an organized way to go about figuring out weather you theory is correct or not.First, thing that is thought about is the Scientific Theory.Next, would be observation. The way to record the important details of your theory. After, there is Analysis. To figure out its relativity to your idea.Fourthly,is the stage to wear you build your hypothesis.Which is better explained as the point in the method were you come up with your educated question. Then, comes Hypothesis Testing. Is when you figure out a way to further test in an eperimental way to help prove scientific image. Finally,it comes to the Conclusion.Where u restate the hypothesis and answer your original question with proven facts.
An example, to further explain what is the Scientific Method would be the scientific theory of Charles Darwin. That would be the theory of evolution.

Evolution vs. Creation

The theory of Evolution is the scientific explanation of existance. It explains the thought that Charles Darwin brought forth as the thoery that man evolved from animal. The theory further deepends with the idea that that earlier animal had eventually evolved from a single celled organism. But as for the closest acurate time line,we humans would be more related to primate.
The theory of Creation is more different. That is the religious explanation of existance. That theory consists of the idea of God and all his power. The theory that God made the world in 7 days. And after that created both the first man and woman. Also known as Adam and Eve.Were as the story goes on to further explain how Adam and Eve had there children. As the first children placed on the earth they go on to populate the world and so forth.
In my believe im not to sure.Ther are to many questions on both theories to say i put my trust completley in either one of them
