NATO and the Warsaw Pact

NATO was an orginazation that includes countries in Euorpe and North America. The Warsaw Pact was a mutal defense alliance made in responce to NATO. North America and Europe was NATO. The point of their alliance was so that in case any of the countries involved in the alliance were attacked all other allied countries would join together and fight as a unit. The Warsaw Pact was very similar. It was made up of the Soviet Union and its satellie coutries. Warsaw Pact was made mostly asa reaction on the creation and importance of NATO.
